I joined the Royal Navy from school at the age of 16 and acquired many skills as a Marine Engineer Mechanic. I then furthered my career in the Royal Navy and re trained as a Clearance Diver.
After my Military career I continued my pursuits within the Commercial diving industry to present date. To begin with I was engaged with many inshore commercial diving projects. These roles and responsibilities were as Commercial Diver, Supervisor, Managing Director and Diving Technician.
During the last 13 years I have operated professionally for a number of major oil and gas operators globally. These experiences have led me to develop the skill sets necessary to achieve the highest standards within design, construction and operation of various dive support vessels. With these skills I have managed to obtain experience and knowledge in subsea operations and management.
I have now achieved a high level of training, experience and knowledge within the auditing industry, which has provided me with a detailed insight into industry standards, Classification Societies recommendations, Health & Safety requirements and diving operational documentation practices.
The needs of the client are fundamental to my work ethics, which focus on client productivity and ensuring commercial discretion. With my background I am able to deliver a competent professional service involving all manned offshore/inshore Diving, ROV and Subsea trenching operations. Involving deep and shallow water subsea construction operations, intervention and IRM operations on a global basis.
My managerial experiences have enabled me to develop strong leadership and mentoring skills to multicultural personnel inshore and offshore, in addition to being reportable to senior management.
Having personally experienced extreme system failures, I have proven that I am able to operate under high levels of pressure to achieve a successful outcome.
I am able to work within a team structure and take the lead, whilst also being competent to work on my own initiative. Ensuring a diligent timely delivery of reports and documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical situations and equipment to non-professionals outside of the operational field.
